Setup ftp folder

Currently I am testing a write to the site by using an ftp client on another machine. The other machine is on the same intranet, but I am using the dns name to access it. I have also tried accessing the site from off site, over the internet, and the same problem occurs.

I found the most recent log file, but I didn't see any commands. Almost all the lines in the log were the same, here's the header and the first line for example:. Fields: date time c-ip cs-username s-ip s-port cs-method cs-uri-stem sc-status sc-winstatus sc-substatus x-session x-fullpath Following up on the ETW tracing, I ran the first line of the command provided there, but it doesn't seem to work with Vista.

On Vista, the logman command logman start "ftp" -p "IIS: Ftp Server" 5 —ets generates error the parameter is incorrect Argument '-ets' is unknown. Argument 'p' is not allowed with the other arguments specified.

The help for logman does not list 'p' as an option. I was able to run 'logman start "ftp" -ets but it didn't generate anything in the application log, after I made the access denied error occur. In addition I have confirmed that under the ftp firewall support module, I have the data channel port range at and I have set the external ip address of the firewall to the ip address which is used to access this server on the internet.
