It forces the software to detect the wheel again. Takes all of 20 seconds. I found this Forum in Logitech. Now it shows the correct Wheel in 64 bit software and Game Controller in Windows is correct again. Not showing the wrong wheel anymore and all buttons work again in all my driving games. Otherwise Screwed in Windows No new or old Logitech Software Downloads will work without this cleaning.

I'm not looking to spend too much, but if the G27 blows the DFGT out of the water than I guess it justifies spending twice as much for it.

The wheels that have it are miles about the cheapo wheels that don't, in terms of overall feel. Much of this is due to the stronger force feedback motors in those. They'll get you by, but they definitely don't feel anywhere near real. The extra buttons on the wheel are nice to have though. You only get two buttons on the G25, and 6 on the G27 plus the paddle shifters. They have leather grips, vs. The pedals are miles above the cheaper wheels.

And, most importantly, they have a clutch and gated shifter. The G25 is worth every extra penny to me, just for the overall feel of it.

I used the DFP for a long time before finally upgrading, and I've never regretted it. For me personally, I can't justify the upgrade from the G25 to a G If I didn't have anything I might consider paying the extra for the G27 though. Log In Sign Up. It took me a while to get the converter to work as I had it wired wrong, but after a visit to the gimx website support page and reading through some of the trouble shooting threads I got it to work.

Hats off to the guys at gimx as they saved me a couple hundred bucks as the hole setup cost me 25 bucks. As for lag there is none that I noticed, my dfgt worked just as it did on the ps3, all the buttons work, I did not try the shift but the paddle buttons worked fine. The only problem I had was that my laptop went into sleep mode after running for a period of time but that was an easy fix. It worked in both drive club and pcars with no problems, so if you have a logitech wheel collecting dust this is the answer.
